Natural Rhythm is a project I created to explore the structures and patterns that appear in nature, specifically plants, water, and rocks. Through this work I have compared similar patterns as well as finding the difference between grid structures and organic structures.

Throughout this project I have explored alternative processes including cyanotypes and Gelli prints, these are made from acrylic paint and Gelli plates. These prints allowed me to capture more of the detail in the structures that make up the leaves. From there I was able to compare and analyse them, finding new patterns when layered together.

To wrap this project up, I created a book made of all my images and prints to create an archive of natural patterns. This allows the images to be observed easier, as a collective or individually.
